Rich's tidbits: This past summer my mom, stepfather, and little sister came to visit Erica and I in Florida. One early morning during their visit, I shared an intimate conversation with my mom in the living room before anyone else in the house was awake. It was great just to talk to my mom one-on-one. I was concerned that she wasn't going to church anymore, and I wanted to convince her how important it was for her to lead her family to go, like she did when I was growing up. During her talk, I thanked her for giving me my Christian roots (the faith that first lived in her) and shared with her how much I had grown in faith built on that foundation she provided me. May we all be that strong link for others in the chain of living faith. Amen.
