Sun, 13 Jan (Matthew 3:13)‏

Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by Him. Matthew 3:13
Devotion snippets: "We should always be alert to our baptismal promises. It is not a "once upon a time" event, but a daily way of life. When Jesus spoke of completing his objectives, especially the most painful ones, he said he was fulfilling His baptism." by Fr. James McKarns

Prayer request: Please pray for Camryn (6) who was diagnosed with brain cancer soon before Christmas. Camryn is the niece of an Academy faculty member and is a big fan of anything John Deere. My daughters, Paige (7) and Grace (4), have been praying for Camryn. On Christmas morning, Paige and Grace both received a John Deere Barbie from their grandparents who farm just north of Champaign, IL. Upon opening the gift, Paige immediately became emotional, slid the John Deere Barbie to me, and said, "this is for Camryn." Then, Grace slid her John Deere Barbie to Paige and said, "you can have my Barbie." This demonstrated the true Spirit of Christmas and was the Christmas highlight for my wife Angi and I. I will post this prayer request on our LIFE blog for archiving and commenting.
