Sun, 24 Feb (John 4:15-16)

* Welcome God every day by reading the Living Faith devotional before work (~1 min). Order at http://www.livingfaith.com/.

The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water, so that I may not be thirsty or have to keep coming here to draw water."
Jesus said to her, "Go call your husband and come back." John 4:15-16

Living Faith Devotion snippets: "To be brought to faith people must acknowledge where they stand, but they can take hope from the fact that Jesus persists even though he knows the woman's state. He does not say to the woman, "Come back after you straighten out your life," for the grace that he offers is meant to help her to change." by Fr. Raymond E. Brown, S.S.

Rich's comments: As Christ knew the woman in the parable, He also knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows all of our faults and weaknesses, but He also knows our true potential, if we would only hand over our whole selves. Lord, knowing my pride, I pray for the humility to ask for Your helping grace, for I cannot lead myself to holiness. Amen.

Through Christ Our Lord,
Rich
