The almighty, infinite God became human flesh smaller than your fingernail. No one ever imagined it or prayed for it. The only response we can make to the mystery of the Incarnation is: "God is Love" (1 Jn 4:16). He became a man because He is Love. He let Himself be crucified and put to death because He is Love. He gives us His body and blood in Holy Communion because He is Love. "The Word became flesh" (Jn 1:14). Love became a human being. Alleluia!"

Sr. Francelle devotion snippets: "It's not easy to be a Christian. It's hard to forgive those who hurt us, to turn the other cheek, to pray for those who persecute us, to return evil with good, to be a servant to others. But do you know who the happiest people are? It's Christians. And just what does a Christian have to give up? A Christian must give up cheating, lying, holding grudges, gossip and the 'poor me' attitude. Forgiveness is the key to being a good Christian [and happiness]. Jesus said, 'Unless you forgive each other from the heart, neither will your heavenly Father forgive you.' He only asks us to forgive - He will do the judging. We must do the loving. For our own good, He wants us to be released from the prison of hard feelings. The world is full of people who feel imprisoned by unforgiveness, their failures or their fears. They have no hope. We all have the God-given power to share our hope every day. It may be as simple as a smile, a kind word, a pat on the back or a handwritten note that says, 'I'm here for you, I'm praying for you.'"
