Ephesians 3:6 (our attitude towards others)

Welcome God every morning before your work by taking ~5 min to read this Living In Faith Exchange (LIFE) Group devotion (life-devotions.blogspot.com), which has snippets from Living Faith (livingfaith.com). All whatsoever you do in word or in work, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Col. 3:17

The Gentiles are coheirs...copartners in the promise... Ephesians 3:6

Living Faith snippets: "Sometimes I think the thing likeliest to keep me out of heaven is my attitude towards others. [In] the gospels...whomever [Jesus] invites, somebody objects! At times we resist being coheirs. When we do, it's ourselves we harm." by Mary Marrocco

Pat nuggets:
* An msnbc article yesterday reported that only 44% of Catholic Christians (only denomination reported) support the ProLife presidential candidate...and did not even mention abortion in the list of voter's "top concerns" about the ProDeath presidential candidate. In his Oct newsletter, Dr. Dobson reminds us disciples of Christ about what our "top concerns" should be...here are some snippets: "To further underscore Senator Obama’s radical devotion to abortion rights, he has promised that “the first thing I’d do as president” would be to sign the Freedom of Choice Act. The FOCA is a devastating piece of legislation that would overturn nearly every local, state, and federal anti-abortion law passed in the last 40 years. In fact, it’s so broadly written that legal analysts suggest the bill may prevent institutions and physicians from refusing to provide abortion services by invoking the conscience clause. ...Senator [Obama] said the following: “I’ve got two daughters. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby. It is likely, say the pundits, that both the House and the Senate in the 111th Congress will still be controlled by Democrats. If that party also takes the White House, a wave of anti-family, pro-homosexual legislation is almost guaranteed to pass in 2009. I implore you to...exercise your responsibility before God to vote...turn to Him for guidance and wisdom...fast and pray immediately before the election. Billy Graham once said that “To get nations back on their feet, we must first get down on our knees.” This election...will also go a long way toward determining the culture your children and grandchildren will come to know." http://www.citizenlink.org/pdfs/2008-10-c4newsletter.pdf

Phil 4:13

* Today's Bible readings at www.usccb.org/nab/today.shtml. Reflection on readings at http://www.daily-meditations.org/index2.html
* Prayer: Prayer connects us with God's will & His miracles, thereby changing us & helping others. Wayne Watson lyrics, “When God's people pray, there is hope reborn, there is sin forgiven, and miracles you can't explain await!” 'If you pray that God will move a mountain and He doesn’t, assume Christ wants you to climb it instead & see Him.'
* Defend the unborn: 'Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to death; don’t stand back and let them die' (Prov 24:11). 'Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you' (Jer 1:5). 'It is a great poverty that a child must die that you might lie as you wish' Blessed Mother Teresa. Prayer to End Abortion.
* Evangelization: Let's make room for non-believers (be a friend, make a friend, lead friend to Christ) and perpetual re-evangelization of self and those near us, by way of daily prayer (relationship) and following Christ's example of selfless love, mercy, and service.
Let's joyfully live out the Good News and gladly tell others about it (Mark 16:15)!

Brothers and sisters in Christ, I would like to ask you to pray for Glen (Dude) Gauer and his wife as they continue to pray for a miracle for their unborn child, praying through the intercession of Louis and Zelie Martin, St. Therese the little flower's parents. The child has a rare condition that will cause it to die upon delivery unless a miracle is performed. In great faith, we continue to pray for exactly that - a MIRACLE! Many of the SD searchers will probably remember Glen. He is currently a FOCUS missionary at the SDSU campus. God's blessings. Stephanie
