Mark 10:21 (God's Chisel)

Let's welcome God today with this Living In Faith Exchange (LIFE) Group devotion (archive), anchored by Living Faith. Prove yourselves doers of the Word, and not merely hearers. James 1:22

Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said to him, "...Go, sell what you have, and give to [the] poor..." Mark 10:21 (full readings)

Living Faith snippets: "How could we sell all and give to the poor and follow Jesus? The rich man is crushed and goes away sad. Jesus looks on us with love. Faced with weakness and need, we turn away too soon. We hear only about the loss, but not about the promise. Jesus promises treasure. Our lives are not empty in His presence. We are not alone. On the path beyond fear and holding tight to things, our load strangely lightens." by Jeanne Schuler

Pat nuggets: I received a message yesterday from a friend whose wife passed away a few years ago. He concluded, "I am still alone, I guess I will remain that way." In my response, I thanked him for his friendship and reminded him that In Christ we are never alone. Just moments after sending, I began writing today's devotion and was of course taken by the Living Faith snippet, "We are not alone." Coincidence? I think not! These God Sightings are grace (strength) for our journey.
