Welcome God now with this LIFE Group Devotion (website, Facebook).
"Since the children share in blood and flesh, Jesus likewise shared in them, that through death He might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and free those who through fear of death had been subject to slavery all their Life." Heb 2:14-15 (full readings)
Pat's Reflections: Today's verse is clear. If you are running with the devil, you can count on slavery to sin...death. But if you are running for Christ, you can count on freedom from slavery (salvation)...eternal Life! We are now in the season between Advent and Lent, called "ordinary time" on the liturgical calendar. Although this time is ordinary compared to Advent and Lent, let's embrace the Christ-mas Spirit to make every day extra-ordinary.

* Abby Johnson is the Planned Parenthood director who walked out of her clinic into the arms of ProLife Christians. During her webcast on Monday, she said the most effective ProLife approach was "peaceful, prayerful, compassionate...be like Christ...for workers and women going in [abortion mill]." She said the abortion mill sidewalk is "not for angry/hateful people...enough of that inside." Abby's eye-opening unPLANNED book went on sale yesterday (preview).
Faith Challenge: Let's allow Christ to help us make each day extra-ordinary. Spend time in prayer outside an abortion mill...and "be like Christ for workers and women going in."
