Steve's Reflections: I heard it said that a closed mind can not be opened from the outside. Jesus words in Revelations also point to this truth, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock..." Pharaoh's mind was closed even when seeing the miracles performed by Moses and Aaron. In Exodus God withdrew from Pharaoh and used his obstinance to bring about His will. Often in the pro-life movement we become frustrated when women still choose to end the life of their child despite seeing an ultrasound or when a doctor trained to heal brings death. Abby Johnson is the most recent example of how in God's time he turned the mind and heart of someone inside the abortion clinic to do his work. As Paul tells us in Romans, "God causes all things to work together for good."
Faith Challenge: Today trust that God is in control - pray that his will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
