Psalm 1:1 (Ecclesia Domestica)

Welcome God now with this LIFE Group Devotion (FB), provided by LIFE Runners (FB). Guest Authors schedule. LIFE Minute radio.

"Blessed the man who follows not the counsel of the wicked." ~ Psalm 1:1 (full readings)

Steve's Reflections: This past weekend I spent on retreat with 35 men contemplating our place in the Catholic Church.  The title of the retreat is Ecclesia Domestica which is Latin for "Domestic Church".  We were blessed to be in the company of 5 holy priests and 3 deacons for most of the weekend and each man was offered two hours of personal spiritual direction.  The retreat was founded by three humble Catholic men who felt a call to defend the Catholic Church which has come under severe attack from the world.  This call was born out of their love and devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary.  We were exhorted, "Do you know who you are?  Do you know what you have?"  If only we knew who we are (a child of God)...If we only knew what we had...The Catholic Church is the only Church founded by Jesus himself!  St. Padre Pio (patron of the LIFE Group) said, "The world could exist more easily without the sun than without the Mass."  St. John Vianney, the Cure' d'Ars, said,"If we knew the value of the Mass, we would die of joy."  Many have been led astray from the wealth, beauty, and truth of their Catholic faith.  They have listened and followed the counsel of the wicked, the world.  The world hates the Catholic Church because it is a living, breathing contradiction to everything the world represents.

Faith Challenge: Perhaps it is time for you to rediscover the Catholic faith?  Perhaps it is time for you to learn more about the Catholic faith? Is it time to come home?  To learn more click here.

* Pray/Fast: Prayer connects us with God’s will & His miracles, changing us & helping others. Fast from things that take your eyes off Jesus. Those who pray together stay together, and close to God!
* Save Unborn (& family): Abortion reality (images)…#1 death cause (22% pregnancies). Prov 24:11 & Jer 1:5. “A great poverty that a child must die that you might live as you wish.” Mother Teresa.
