Steve's Reflections: "Mr. Tuesday", Rob Rysavy, recently wrote beautifully about his revelation that the world rejects the sacredness of LIFE because it has already rejected the sacredness of God's only son, Jesus Christ.  This hit me hard because I could relate with his frustration regarding the apathy we often see in others toward the preeminent moral issue of our time, abortion.  I often say, "First things First" when thinking of right priorities in life.  This is no truer then when we contemplate our own lives and the reflection they give to others of Jesus Christ.   My children understand what I mean when I say this to them...we clean our rooms before we play, we go to church instead of sleeping in, we give God the first-fruits of our time, treasure and talents, etc.  If we are to attain the pearl of great price (salvation) we must be willing to sell anything and give everything to be "all in".  On this twelfth day of Christmas, have you put "First things First"?

Faith Challenge:  As we pack away the Christmas decorations and box up our Christmas memories, let us not forget to bring Jesus Christ with us into the world.

* Save Unborn (and family): Abortion reality (images)…#1 death cause (22% pregnancies). Prov 24:11 and Jer 1:5. “A great poverty that a child must die that you might live as you wish.” Mother Teresa.
* Evangelize: Make room for unbelievers and re-evangelization of self, by way of prayer (relationship) and following Christ’s example of love (service/sacrifice/mercy). Matt 28:19.
