Steve's Reflections: This weekend a contingent of LIFE Runners will join with 200,000 others in Washington DC for the 39th annual March for Life on the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade (Jan 23rd).  It is apparent that God is calling his people to the mountain, Capital Hill, to make a statement against the injustice that has been done to over 50 million lives and countless family legacies that have been irrevocably altered for eternity.  Many more will join in solidarity around the nation as they March on their state capitals as well.  Pope John Paul II once said, "The promotion of the culture of life should be the highest priority in our societies...If the right to life is not defended decisively as a condition for all other rights of the person, all other references to human rights remain deceitful and illusory."  With the most dangerous place in our country now being a mother's womb (about one quarter of all pregnancies end in abortion), it is clear the culture of death is at large.  Let us  not be discouraged or deterred from our present course which is the defense of the unborn and the dignity of all human life.  How will you memorialize the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade this coming Monday?

Faith Challenge:  Meditate on this exhortation from Blessed John Paul II, "“Never tire of firmly speaking out in defense of life from its conception and do not be deterred from the commitment to defend the dignity of every human person with courageous determination. Christ is with you: be not afraid!”
