Psalm 18:31 (Komen - Higher Standard)

Welcome God now with this LIFE Group Devotion (FB), provided by LIFE Runners (FB). Guest Authors schedule. LIFE Minute radio.

"God's way is unerring, the promise of the LORD is fire-tried; he is a shield to all who take refuge in him." ~ Psalm 18:31  (full readings)

Steve's Reflections: The culture battle has closed in on the people of God with many fronts.  Our Bishops have come under extreme scrutiny as they have publicly spoken out against the mandates being laid down by Obama care forcing our religious institutions to provide health care that supplies abortions and abortifacients.  This is a direct attack on our religious liberties and a person's conscience, the whispering voice of God.  We must pray for our Bishops and our country...but today we can take pause to rejoice in a real victory.  The announcement that Komen has pulled it's grants (nearly $700,000) from Planned Parenthood struck like lightning.  A long-time pro-life activist posted a video of a massive fireworks display on her Facebook page to celebrate!  It is a signal grace, like a standard bearer holding high for the army to see that there is still hope.  Fight on!  Today's scripture is filled with hope for all of God's people.  His way is "unerring" and His promise for us is "fire-tried"...He is our "shield" if we but take refuge in Him!

Faith Challenge:  Take a moment to pause today and thank God for the victory we have won against Planned Parenthood...a victory for Life!

Sr. Francelle's Devotion:  Put on the mind of God...

Rom 12:2

* Pray/Fast: Prayer connects us with God’s will and His miracles, changing us & helping others. Fast from things that take your eyes off Jesus. Those who pray together stay together, and close to God!
* Save Unborn (and family): Abortion reality (images)…#1 death cause (22% pregnancies). Prov 24:11 and Jer 1:5. “A great poverty that a child must die that you might live as you wish.” Mother Teresa.
* Evangelize: Make room for unbelievers and re-evangelization of self, by way of prayer (relationship) and following Christ’s example of love (service/sacrifice/mercy). Matt 28:19.
