Genesis 15:2 (first baby photo!)

Welcome God now with this LIFE Group Devotion (FB), provided by LIFE Runners (FB).

"O Lord GOD, what good will your gifts be,
if I keep on being childless..."
Gen 15:2 (full readings)

Pat's Reflections: Today's image is an initial human cell (zygote)...someone's first baby photo! While studying embryology last week at the Notre Dame Vita Institute, I was taken at how the zygote looks like the Eucharist. The cell's surrounding corona radiata is like a monstrance (vessel for Eucharist). Much like the Eucharist (eternal life) doesn't look like the Body of Christ, the zygote (life) doesn't look like a person. Your zygote was formed in a moment...and was completely you (body/soul)!

Faith Challenge: If you can't see God in the Eucharist, read John 6:26-69. If you can't see your neighbor in the zygote, just wait a few weeks...

Counter-Culture News: LifeNews, Vatican, AFA, Priests for Life, Live Action

Our Prayers: Prayer to end abortion, Spiritual Adoption, Alpha Center, Peters family (JP). Add Prayers on our website. Pray with meals, bedtime, wake up, LIFE Runners, etc. Consider mid-week Family Rosary (17 min). Let’s pray now.

Feast Day: St. Paulinus

Faith Quote: "This must be what a runner feels after completing a marathon, I thought. It must hurt all over, but the exhilaration of finishing the race makes all the pain worth it. That's just how I feel!" ~ Abby Johnson (the day she resigned from Planned Parenthood)

Through Christ our Lord,
Pat
Phil 4:13

* Pray/Fast: Prayer connects us with God’s will & His miracles, changing us & helping others. Fast from things that take your eyes off Jesus. Those who pray together stay together, and close to God!
* Save Unborn (& family): Abortion reality (images)…#1 death cause (23% pregnancies). Prov 24:11 & Jer 1:5. “A great poverty that a child must die that you might live as you wish.” Mother Teresa.
* Evangelize: Make room for unbelievers & re-evangelization of self, by way of prayer (relationship) and following Christ’s example of love (service/sacrifice/mercy). Matt 28:19.
