Steve's Reflections: Today's Gospel is a beautiful exchange between the Risen Christ and Peter on a beach. After breakfast Jesus speaks these words to Peter, "Do you love me?" After each answer, Jesus responds, "Feed my sheep." This exchange between Jesus and Peter is a fulfillment of Jesus words prior to His death, "I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it (Matt 16:18)." Jesus' healing words on the beach that morning point to Peter's ordained role in the Church...the first Pope (Latin for Papa).

* Pray/Fast: Prayer connects us with God’s will & His miracles, changing us & helping others. Fast from things that take your eyes off Jesus. Those who pray together stay together, and close to God!

* Evangelize:Make room for unbelievers & re-evangelization of self, by way of prayer (relationship) and following Christ’s example of love (service/sacrifice/mercy). Matt 28:19.
