Rich's comments: A year and a half ago during liturgical training, it was revealed to me that the entire Bible is a love story. That throughout the Old Testament God tried many ways to communicate His love for us and His desire for us to love Him back. It was not until He embodied Himself as flesh and blood as Jesus Christ did we finally realize how much God loves us and how God desires us to love Him. It is through Jesus Christ that we are now able to communicate our love to God. Jesus showed us that we love God by doing His will and by loving others. Sometimes though it is difficult to love those who we do not know. Mother Teresa provided guidance in this respect when she said, “To be able to love one another, we must pray much, for prayer gives a clean heart and a clean heart can see God in our neighbor." Lord, I pray that you open my heart to love others, even those who I do not know. We all have an endless supply of God's love to share (like the bread in today's Gospel reading that fed five thousand). Amen.

Let's joyfully live out the Good News and gladly tell others about it (Mark 16:15)!
