Pat's Reflections: Today's verse inspires us to surge out into the world...all In Christ...for Pro-Life! The 40 Days for Life begins today and goes through 6 Nov, providing 24 hr life-saving prayer support at over 300 abortion mills around the world. With our country literally deadlocked on abortion, 40 Days for Life is a strategic surge for saving the Unborn. My daughter Paige and I attended the "No Truce on Life" dinner this past weekend in St. Louis. The speaker, Pro-Life activist Wendy Wright, reminded us that we can't protect the Unborn if we stay hunkered down in ministries, which is like not going out from a Forward Operating Base (FOB). The LIFE Group Devotions is a well protected FOB that encourages us to answer Christ's command to go out into the streets for proclaiming, witnessing and serving (love). We need to leave the FOB in order to untangle hearts and minds...and align them with a culture of Life. The LIFE Runners team is a Pro-Life convoy made up of over 160 members of the LIFE Group...going out from FOB's in 20 states. The LIFE Runners will surge into the streets for the Kansas City half/full Marathon on 15 Oct with a powerful life-saving message on their jerseys, "REMEMBER The Unborn, Jer 1:5."
