Psalm 52:11 (truly thanking God) by Kevin McNicholas

Welcome God now with this LIFE Group Devotion (FB), provided by LIFE Runners (FB). Guest Authors schedule. LIFE Minute radio.

"I will thank You always for what You have done, and proclaim the goodness of Your Name before Your faithful ones. I trust in the mercy of God for ever." ~ Psalm 52:11 (full readings)

Kevin's Reflections: This is a favorite verse of mine. It makes me think about whether I am truly thanking God, or just asking Him to grant me one more request. I don’t know that we can ever thank God enough for everything He has blessed us with, and our lives ought to speak louder than our words. God put us on earth to glorify Him and to “proclaim the goodness of Your Name before Your faithful ones.” This is our biggest challenge: to proclaim the goodness of His Name not only before the faithful, but especially before the unfaithful. An individual who doesn’t know or accept God is missing the very essence of life. I may be the only Christian that this person ever meets. What does my life say about my relationship with God?
